DITTY / DOCUMENTATION

Documentation

An introductory guide to the modular architecture and the next installation-documentation milestones.

10 RX · 10 Bands · Simultaneous Monitoring

The documented Hermes-Lite 2 setup uses 10 parallel RX channels to monitor ten configured amateur-radio bands simultaneously. This is a feature of the specific firmware and receive configuration, not a guarantee for every HL2 firmware.

01

Connect and configure the receiver

Ditty_Shared_Memory reads an input-driver DLL defined in its INI file. The sample archived setup points to a Hermes-Lite 2 on a private address; it is not a universal default.

02

Publish I/Q receiver bands

The shared-memory producer publishes named rings such as DITTY0Band, DITTY1Band and so on, based on configured receiver centres.

03

Run mode-specific decoders

Each decoder uses its configuration and the DittyIntf bridge to access available receiver data. Start-up order matters in the archived deployment.

04

Review DX spots and logs

Inspect DX spots and operation logs. The website also provides live, read-only CW, RTTY and PSK Telnet consoles.

These notes describe the supplied October 2026 project snapshot. They are not yet a validated end-user installation manual.
